Francesca Beard is a London-based, Malaysian-born poet who performs and workshops all over the UK and represents the best of British live literature around the world with the British Council.
She has a one woman show ‘Chinese Whispers’, produced by Apples and Snakes and a family show, ‘Animal Olympics’, commissioned for SBC’s Imagine Festival. She’s written for institutions such as The Barbican, the BBC, The Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, The Metropolitan Police, The Royal Court, The Young Vic and BBC Radios 3 and 4. She’s currently working on a new show, ‘How to Survive a Post-Truth Apocalypse’, supported by Arts Council England.
